Mykonos Orthophoto for use in X-Plane 12 Flight Simulator

I already have raw satellite imagery covering the whole island at 0.50 m per pixel. Summary / Purpose
You will prepare georeferenced orthophoto tiles ready for import into X-Plane's World Editor (WED). The freelancer will handle all GIS processing, mosaicking, cropping to include only the island and approximately 200 meters beyond the beaches, reprojection if necessary, and blending the edges of the orthophoto tiles with the surrounding default X-Plane terrain textures using a provided reference image to ensure smooth visual transitions. WED interface work and final draped polygon creation will be handled by the client.
1) What the client provides
> Source imagery (high-res GeoTIFFs or download links), already georeferenced.
> Reference image of default X-Plane terrain for blending:
> Guidance on tile layout (e.g., 2–4 tiles for the island).
2) Success criteria
>All images are cropped to the island extent plus ~200m beyond the beaches.
>All images are in EPSG:4326 or correctly reprojected if necessary.
>Tiles align correctly and blend seamlessly with adjacent default terrain textures in X-Plane using the reference image for color/brightness/saturation matching.
>Metadata CSV included with all file details.
>Screenshots of processed mosaics for verification.
3) Deliverables
>Original source tiles.
>Processed orthophoto tiles (GeoTIFF) ready for WED, optionally PNG copies with worldfiles.
>Metadata CSV and processing log.
>zipped package containing all deliverables.
4) Processing workflow (GIS focus)
>Verify georeferencing; reproject if needed.
>Crop imagery to island + 200m buffer.
>Divide into 2–4 tiles.
>Mosaic tiles and color-match adjacent areas.
>Blend tile edges with default terrain using reference image:
a. Apply feathering/gradient along edges.
b. Adjust hue, saturation, brightness, and contrast if needed
c. Done using GIS/raster tools; no WED/X-Plane required.
>Export final tiles and maintain processing log.
Note: WED import and polygon creation handled by client.
6) Quality checklist
>Tiles cropped correctly to island + 200m.
>GeoTIFFs in EPSG:4326 or correctly reprojected.
>Tiles blend seamlessly with default terrain at edges using reference image.
>Metadata complete.
