Hindi Text Image Capture from Smartphones
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
We are looking for native Hindi-speaking freelancers in India to participate in a simple image capture from smatphones for daily items project.
The goal of this project is to help improve Hindi text recognition systems.
1- Task Description
You will take photos of real-life objects that contain visible text using your smartphone camera.
Examples:
Business cards, contact cards, name tags etc
Real Receipts , Bills etc
Real Schedules or timetables etc
Other everyday items with printed text
For each object:
Take 3 photos
Use different angles and lighting
Image Requirement: 1 Asset = 3 Images (Front/Center, Left, and Right angles)
Make sure the images are clear and not duplicated
2- Hindi Image Categories to Collect from Smartphone Manually
Please capture images of the following items where the text is mainly in Hindi:
WiFi – Public notice
Identification – Locker number
Identification – Parking space number
Identification – Parking zone
Events – Multi-event posters
Restaurant menus

4 - Language Requirement
75% of the text in the images must be in Hindi
The remaining 25% can be in English
5- Requirements
Native or near-native Hindi speaker
Currently located in India
Smartphone with a good quality camera
6- Submission Process
Upload images only through the provided Google Form
Google Drive uploads are not accepted
Follow the official guidelines and visual examples
7- What Is Not Accepted / Not Allowed
Images must be clear, readable, and not blurry
Text must be in the correct language (mainly Hindi)
Images must follow the category guidelines exactly
Photos must be taken in real life (in-situ) — not recreated digitally
Images must include variety in location, lighting, and angles
Images with too much personally identifiable information (PII) will be rejected
Submissions missing required details (email, phone, address, postal code, etc.) may be rejected
8- What Will Lead to Rejection
Submissions will be rejected if they:
Are photos of screens, websites, or apps (unless specifically allowed)
Are printed copies of online content
Contain repeated or very similar images
Are artificially staged or all collected from a single location
9- Payment
Payment is based on the number of approved images
Blurry, duplicate, screenshots, or irrelevant images will not be paid
Payment will be released 15–20 days after approval.
