High-Detail Fingerprint Enhancement Needed

I have a single, partial thumb-print image lifted from a briefcase involved in a personal investigation. The print is badly degraded and faint, yet I need every ridge and minutiae point you can reasonably recover.

Here is what I will provide:
• The original high-resolution photograph (RAW + JPG) of the latent print on a white powder backing card.
• Context notes on lighting conditions and angle.

What I expect back:
• A digitally enhanced image that maximises visible ridge detail without introducing artefacts.
• A separate, contrast-boosted version ready for ridge counting or automatic minutiae extraction.
• Brief notes on the exact workflow or software chain you used (e.g., Photoshop, ImageJ, VeriFinger, MATLAB filters) so I can replicate or defend the process later if questioned.

Acceptance criteria
• Ridges and bifurcations should appear clean enough for a potential match by standard AFIS or manual comparison.
• No haloing, posterisation, or over-sharpening that could mislead an examiner.
• Final files supplied in both lossless (TIFF/PNG) and layered PSD.

Turnaround within a few days would be ideal; let me know if you need additional reference shots or calibration targets.
