Dental Prosthesis Analysis System PoC Development

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I am in need of a Proof of Concept (PoC) to help in the development of a system that can analyze and identify dental prostheses. The system should primarily work with both photographic and STL data.

Current Challenges:
- Loss of ownership information for prostheses when produced in batches.
- Need to streamline the identification process to improve accuracy and efficiency.

System Details:
- Analyze and identify dental prostheses using photographic and STL data.
- Need to compare A and B , C and D data described below and find identical object (denture, etc.).

Current Workflow:
- For Crowns:
-- Order received with instruction sheet and oral STL data.
-- Creation of prosthesis STL. (data A)
-- Manufacturing of the prosthesis.
-- Photographing the prosthesis. (data B)
-- Delivery.

- For Dentures:
-- Order received with instruction sheet and dental impressions.
-- Manufacturing of the prosthesis using plaster.
-- Initial photograph of the denture. (data C)
-- Polishing and removal of the base.
-- Final photograph of the denture. (data D)
-- Delivery.

Performance Requirements:
- Compare newly uploaded photos against a database of approximately 700 images within a few seconds.
- Achieve an identification accuracy of over 90% to avoid errors in prosthesis delivery.

Sample Data:
- Attached data contains actual pictures and STL data for each type of object (Denture, Crown, Bridge and inlay)

Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in computer vision for analyzing photographic data.
- Experience with 3D data processing, particularly with STL files.
- Competency in developing complex, data-driven identification systems.
- Previous experience with medical or dental image analysis would be beneficial.

This is a highly specialized project, and I am looking for someone who can create a robust proof of concept that can eventually be evolved into a fully-fledged system.
When PoC became success, we are planning to develop actual application as Phase 2 with additional budget.
