Looking for a Developer to Build an Automated Personalized Storybook Creation System
Hello,
We are looking to develop a system similar to WonderWraps.com. The main goal is to automatically generate personalized children's storybooks by processing a folder containing student ID/passport-style photos.
Project Objective
For each student, the system will generate a custom storybook where:
The student’s photo is integrated into story illustrations (e.g., as a cartoon-style character or avatar),
Basic personal information (name, age, etc.) is embedded into the story content,
Predefined story templates are automatically populated with this data,
The final output is a print-ready PDF or similar format.
The entire process should be fully automated and capable of processing multiple students/photos in batch.
Technical Requirements
We’re looking for someone skilled in one or more of the following areas:
Image processing and facial integration into templates (AI-based face-to-character mapping is a big plus),
Document automation tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign scripting, Canva API, or PDF libraries),
Batch photo/data processing,
Simple UI (desktop or web-based) to manage the workflow,
(Optional) AI or ML integration to transform a photo into a cartoon/illustrated character.

Point the system to a folder of student photos
Automatically generate a personalized book for each student
Use pre-made templates that can be dynamically filled with text and visual elements
Export high-quality PDFs ready for print or digital sharing

Our concept is inspired by WonderWraps.com, but we aim to build a school-focused solution that supports high-volume, batch processing with less manual work.
We are looking for someone with relevant experience, ideally with examples of similar automation or personalization tools you’ve built.
