Batch Clean White Backgrounds
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I have roughly 430 portraits shot against a white studio backdrop. The raw captures look fine, but the background needs to be lifted to a true, bright white while keeping the people perfectly cut out and free of halos. Where the lighting allows, I’d like a soft, diffused natural shadow introduced or retained so the subjects don’t appear to float.
Lighting and exposure are mostly consistent across the set, though the odd frame may need a quick extra tweak. Colour and skin tones must stay untouched and realistic; only the backdrop and any subtle shadow work should change.
The finished images should be returned at the same resolution and file format I supply—high-res JPEG is perfect, though layered PSDs are a welcome bonus if they help maintain quality. Turnaround time and a dependable workflow for handling this volume are important to me, so please outline how you’ll batch-process yet still keep an eye on the details of every file.
I’ll approve the job when:

• Shadows look soft and natural, never harsh or painted-on.
• No fringing, clipping, or colour shifts appear on the subjects.
