Automated image processing - with OpenCV for example

We need automation for the following process:
We have pictures of vehicles. These pictures not only show the vehicle but also always an individual background.
1. The background must be removed (seems to be a good task for contours)
2. the picture has to be inserted into a new background.
You can see the 3 states of the pictures in the attachments.
