A LITTLE SPARROW TOLD ME

I have a 40 page Inspirational book that needs one illustration per landscape page, It is of a little girl in a Children's Hospital, who asks to go outside into the inner courtyard, and while there, sitting in her wheelchair underneath an oak tree, she overhears a conversation between a baby sparrow and its mother, as the mother sparrow teaches her baby about God, and the little girl then tells her mother what she learned. I have sketches and recommendations for each page, and I desire to have only one illustration done per week, to give me time to go back and forth with the illustrator in fine tuning each page, to get the kind of realism brought out that I desire. I do not want flat, cartoonish characters in this. I can only afford $40 to $50 per illustration, which limits this to a total of $1,600 to $2,000 over a minimum of 40 weeks. I want the Illustrator to be someone who has a strong faith in God and a desire to promote the message of this book, through the visual depictions of their art. If the prospective illustrator desires to read the entire text of my book before deciding, I have no problem with that, so long as it is understood that the full disclosure of the text is not to be mistaken as permission or agreement without independent, written form. The upload of the sketch of page one shows some of the kind of realism that is desired. The uploaded sketch was not finalized, which is why it is still in its "fuzzy" stage, without coloration and clarity. The prospective illustrator may offer to do this one page that has been uploaded, as their "proof of talent and style" however they wish, with the understanding that I may pick only one illustrator out of all entries, and will pay only that one illustrator picked, if one is selected from however many submit their art, through this platform. No art submitted for consideration by any prospective illustrator will be used by me in this or any other book until and unless a written agreement is signed by both parties.
