Illuminated Retail Signage Designer Needed
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I oversee ongoing roll-outs of new and remodelled retail stores and need a reliable designer who can take each location from concept to factory-ready artwork. Every project calls for eye-catching illuminated pieces—specifically LED signs, channel letters and lightboxes—often mounted on aluminum composite panels (Alucobond). You should feel comfortable turning rough sketches or brand assets into polished visuals, then translating those into accurate fabrication drawings.
Typical workflow
• Create initial concepts that respect each store’s façade and local regulations
• Build a realistic 3D storefront mock-up so the client can visualise scale, materials and lighting effects
• Prepare dimensioned production files (vector + PDF/DWG) with call-outs for materials, colours, power supplies and mounting details
• Supply final artwork packaged and ready for hand-off to fabricators
Must-haves
• Proven portfolio of LED signs, channel letters and lightboxes for retail settings
• Strong command of Illustrator/CorelDRAW and a 3D package such as SketchUp or similar
• Understanding of aluminium composite panel fabrication and mounting methods
• Ability to revise quickly when municipalities or landlords request tweaks
