Strike and dip symbols for you outcrops (remember to include dip values)
Unit contacts (label and color your units)
Faults (make these lines thicker than your regular contact lines)

Unit contacts (label and color your units)
Faults (make these thicker than your regular contact lines. You can label these faults if they have names.
Remember, a good map and cross section is one that looks good, part of the grade is based upon neatness of the map and cross section.
