Chibi Cartoon Character Builder II
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am building a chibi cartoon character builder and i am looking for an artist for long term partnership to help me design chibi characters with parts that can be mixed and matched. My customers will be able to choose and customise their own avatar from a list of options for each body part. I will want to keep the design simple so that it can be very easily expanded in terms of accessories and poses in the future
Deliverable format:
- AI format for each individual part
- A combined PSD file with all the assets neatly categorized in layer folders and each asset type (layer) can be hidden/shown to change the part to customize the character
Deliverable for this initial project will be the following:
- 4 body types in standard standing pose (adult male, adult female, child male, child female) - either front facing or slightly slanted to one side... the pose must look good when multiple characters are standing together... head can be the same size for each body type
- 4 hair design for each body type
- 4 expressions that can be used for all body types (neutral happy, very happy, one-eye wink, > < eyes happy expression) - note that eyes are simplified in black... not the anime type which has alot of gloss elements as I do not want eye color to be customisable
- 4 clothing choices for each body type (plain color, no need for special design on clothing)
- 4 shoe choices for each body type
- 4 hairstyle choices for each body type
- 10 accessories that can be used by all body types (spectacles, ribbon, beard, sunglasses, teddy bear on hand, etc...)
For hairstyle, shoe, clothing choices... please make sure they are the most common options for the body type (e.g. female should be t shirt + jeans, dress, etc... and male should be t shirt, polo shirt, long sleeve shirt, etc...)
Please send links of past works. You will have higher chance to get the job if you send me a draft of the character design. Ultimately I want to find a designer that understands the style which I prefer. I have attached images of some characters I found online that fit the style that I am looking for... key is really to be simplified and easy to expand and have more customization options in future. If I'm satisfied, this will be a long term gig where I will require more expansion assets to be designed (e.g. more hairstyles, more accessories, more expressions, poses, etc...)
