Natural Form - Insects (Butterfly) (Create at least FOUR drawings/paintings of your selected theme or related subject/designs. Document a rich idea development for your theme, designs and experiments based on your selected theme) (4 sketches total)
Animal Bingo (Dumbo Octopus) use sections of it whether it be colour,texture or behaviour to create a mini collection of at least TEN design items that have morphological details originating from your given animal. Try and generate ideas for wide spectrum of interior items or garments) (10 sketches total)
Metamorphosis (Simple Transformation - Using an image of any Natural Form as a starting point, illustrate a metamorphosis into an other natural form or object of your choice in a series of 4 quick sketches. Try to surprise your viewer by pointing an unexpected similarity between shapes. Eg. Animal or plant into another natural form or object of your choice) (4 sketches total)
(Elaborate Transformation - For your longer brief this week repeat the process explored in the first exercise and illustrate a metamorphosis in more detail, considering shading with pencils, colour or even paint if you like. Try to create a metamorphosis that shows how your natural form transforms into an interior object or garment. This exercise should show at least 6 or 7 stages of transformation from one form to another. Eg. Animal or plant into interior object or garment) (6 sketches total)
