Web Comic Artist: Digital Coloring/Editing
Budget: $10 – $16 USD
I am looking for a digital coloring and editing partner for my web comic project. I am specifically seeking someone who can work in a cartoon style.
This is a long-term partnership opportunity, as I plan to continue creating and publishing web comics on a regular basis once this gets going. Note that I’m honestly not sure how much money I can pay up front for this, it is a passion project that I have hand drawn for 7 years now and I’m trying to take the next step to polish hand drawn pages I have in multiple sketch books. My character is Bronk, a benevolent caveman inspired by Wreck-It Ralph and Donkey Kong.
This would be a kid friendly/all ages series that I dream of being expressed in a vibrant and colorful world which is inspired by 90s cartoons and video games. I’m heavily inspired by Dragon Ball, One Piece, Toriko but the art style for the series is more cartoony like Samurai Jack or Usagi Yojimbo (also big inspirations).
Some of the digitally colored images I attached are a rough idea of what I’m looking for.
I have multiple story ideas outlined and drafted out and I’m interested in being able to bring these to life. I don’t want this to be a never ending series but I have a few ideas for different adventures/volumes. My own artist skills are limited and I am hoping to find someone who can take a look at my own art/drawings and translate it into a more polished and refined version (I struggle with backgrounds, perspective, panels/pacing, action scenes/sense of movement, character design consistency and I’m not formally trained since this has been a hobby for me)
Each month, I will need 1-5 pages/panels colored and edited. (I’m open to discussing this)
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in digital coloring and editing techniques
- Experience working in a cartoon style
- Ability to meet deadlines and work on a consistent basis
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively on the project
