Watercolor Pet Portrait
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm seeking a talented artist who can create a beautiful 11x14 inches portrait of my sister's dog, Lily. The piece should capture the essence and personality of Lily, and be a beautiful tribute to her life. I prefer watercolor or oil paint, please.
This portrait will be a gift to my sister and brother-in-law, in remembrance of their beautiful, beloved Lily, a 7 year old Bernese Mountain Dog who recently passed from an illness.
Lily was so special! She was so bouncy, and beautiful, and loyal, and playful and so very smart -- and she was so devoted to her family. She brought so much joy to her family and they adored her deeply. They've had other doggies, but there was something incredibly special about Lily and her connection with my sister, and the rest of her family. She just seemed to understand them on a different level -- she was an amazing communicator and Lily always knew how to brighten everyone's life -- especially when she knew that someone had had a hard day.
Ideal Skills:
- Expertise in watercolor painting
- Experience in pet portraits
- Ability to capture personality in artwork (intelligence, beauty, happiness, playfulness, loyalty, curiosity, cuteness, and her endless love for her family).
I'm attaching several photos and would like your thoughts on the best way to capture Lily in a watercolor portrait. I'd also appreciate an estimate of the cost and timing. I assume the portrait will be unframed and not on a stretcher, so that I can frame it when it arrives. I'd love to see some samples of your work, please. I really want the right artist to capture Lily's essence and beauty and spectacular sense of fun and connection.
Thank you for your creativity and feedback.
Very best regards,
Patti
