StateMaps Templates and Art Project

I have svg files for the 50 states. I want to size and piece them together into one map. Then extract them to print individually so that I can use them as templates. This will be used for a student project to make their state art piece, then to be mounted together as one map into an art piece. I do no know how to size correctly so the maps come together like a puzzle.
