Sketching and cartooning skills required
Budget: £10,000 – £20,000 GBP
We are looking for illustrators to illustrate a historical/biographical comic with details as below
A. 24-36 page comic with single page, half page or quarter page illustrations (and speech bubbles)
B. Format is either ePuB or pdf
C. Comics will be based on a detailed script which will be based on the lives of famous personalities and will be provided to you
While the script will try to describe each scene as completely as possible, the illustrator will need to use his/her skills to bring the picture to life. Ideal skills include the ability to imagine the dressing style and architecture of a place based on the period and location of the picture - therefore experience, common sense and research skills will matter tremendously
We anticipate getting more than 2500-3000 illustrations done, therefore work will need to be carried out at a brisk pace with steady progress evidenced every day. We are open to periodic payments based on progress achieved
A small test will be conducted to ensure that the illustrator can fulfil these requirements. We anticipate this to be around 3 man years of work
