Rugby Team Shirt Designs
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I want to build a brand of fan-focussed rugby shirts. As an unofficial brand, I can't use any logos or images, so I'm looking for drawings to get around those restrictions. The aim of my company is to breathe new life and excitement into rugby fans, and shine a light on the vibrant culture and community of the game here in Australia. I'm full of ideas , but I have no artistic skills so I'm reaching out to you to see what you can do. I'm hoping you can help me. Here's on eidea
I want you to draw Yoda as a rugby referee. In the final version, I'll add the text above saying "Do or do not, there is no try". As I said before, I have limited artistic skill so I've made a rough idea of what I'd want it to like, for your *reference* in Canva, using AI. I've attached that image. Key notes:
-looks like Yoda
-dressed as a rugby referee (attached images of current orange uniform to help you), not as a jedi master
-give him a little earpiece too, as well as a watch and whistle
-as tall as Yoda
-in terms of poses, I like how he's angled (pointing a bit to the right). Make him pose as if he's watching the TV to get feedback from the TV ref
-just the drawing, coloured in, plain background. no text, no background, I'll add that
I like the art style of your frog, but I want this drawing to be more realistic than your frog but still a little cartoony - i want Yoda to still be recognisable
Acceptance criteria
• Artwork must be 100 % original and free of any club trademarks or copyrighted imagery.
• Files sized for a standard unisex tee (12-inch width, CMYK).
• Layers clearly labeled for quick color tweaks.
I’m happy to give quick feedback on sketches or mood boards before you lock in the final compositions, and quick turnaround is a plus—ideally first drafts within five days of kickoff. If rugby is your passion or you’ve tackled team-sport graphics before, I’d love to see a few relevant samples when you reply.
Attached are 2x designs someone else did. They don't hit quite right for me, they don't match the ref's uniform in a broad sense, and he doesn't look like he's ruling out a try/looking at the TV. I've also attached my mockups I've done in Canva
