Realistic Illustrator for Marketing Material
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
We would like to create a diver character set to be integrated into a series of diving books. This character will represent a scuba diver and will be used in various educational contexts throughout the book (instructions, safety gestures, equipment illustrations, etc.). The style should be suitable for an adult readership and remain faithful to European diving practices (steel diving tanks). The goal is for our graphic designer to create all the necessary illustrations using this character set.
Required elements:
2 characters: male, female
4 poses: front view, side view, back view, three-quarter view
Equipment: fins, mask, snorkel, scuba tank, regulator, buoyancy compensator, dive computer
The characters will evolve both in a pool (wearing swimsuits) and in natural environments (wearing wetsuits)
Postures: diver swimming on the surface, diver in neutral position, diver ascending, diver descending, diver sitting
Underwater communication gestures: a series of basic hand signals such as "OK", "Ascend", "Need air", "Problem".
Interactions with equipment: adjusting the mask, checking the air gauge, purging the buoyancy compensator, using the backup regulator.
Graphic style: Simple and clear, semi-realistic, not overly caricatured but also not overly technical (no unnecessary details).
Accessories that should be drawn separately and integrated with the diver: dive light, underwater camera, dive slate, surface marker buoy.
The diver should always appear in action within an underwater context but without a detailed background (neutral environment).
Deliverables: Vector format (Illustrator, SVG)
