RIPPOWAM Logo for Conservation Clothing
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
RIPPOWAM — Wildlife Conservation Clothing Brand
Logo Design — Fixed Price $50
─────────────────────────────
BEFORE YOU BID
─────────────────────────────
This is a $50 fixed-price project. We are a small brand just getting started and we are upfront about that. What we are offering beyond this project is a long-term relationship:
— $50 per seasonal colorway variation (4 seasons planned)
— $50 per featured animal drop variation (new animal each season)
That's $200+ in follow-on work already mapped out, and more beyond that. We want one designer and we want to stick with them. If your work is strong, this is the start, not a one-off.
To be considered, please send 2–3 examples of nature, outdoor, conservation, or badge-style logo work with your bid. We will shortlist 2–3 designers and ask for a quick rough thumbnail sketch before awarding. No spec work beyond that thumbnail.

ABOUT THE BRAND
─────────────────────────────
Rippowam is an upscale wildlife conservation clothing brand. Each seasonal drop features a different animal rendered in detailed black-and-white illustration by a commissioned artist, whose signature appears on the garment. 5% of all proceeds are donated to conservation of that featured animal.
The name Rippowam is the original Indigenous name for a river in Stamford, CT — rooted in the land, quiet, and earned.
─────────────────────────────
WHAT WE NEED
─────────────────────────────
A single base logo mark that works across two formats:
1. CHEST / POCKET LOGO — small, refined, left chest or front pocket placement
2. HAT BADGE — circular or compact badge format that holds detail at 1–2 inches
Must work in single color (embroidery and screen print) and full color. No gradients. Pure vector.
─────────────────────────────
AESTHETIC
─────────────────────────────
National park badge meets upscale outdoor brand. Clean, timeless, confident.
NOT clipart. NOT busy. NOT trendy. NOT stock.
The base logo uses earthy tones — warm tans, charcoal, deep forest, slate. But the designer should be comfortable working with bolder seasonal palettes in future phases. We are not afraid of color when it earns its place.
The mark should feature a layered natural landscape:
— Mountain ridgeline (receding layers, far and near range)
— River or waterway winding through the valley
— Mixed treeline (conifers and deciduous together)
— Solid ground band at the base
We want to see two directions explored:
OPTION A — Horizontal landscape strip
A layered scene with RIPPOWAM integrated into the landscape itself — hidden in the ridgeline, revealed in negative space, or carved into the ground band. Subtle and clever. The name should feel discovered, not placed.
OPTION B — Circular badge
Same landscape compressed into a clean circle. RIPPOWAM along the top arc in spaced serif type. WILDLIFE CONSERVATION along the bottom arc. This is the primary hat and pocket format.
─────────────────────────────
TYPOGRAPHY
─────────────────────────────
Classic serif, wide letter-spacing, light to regular weight. Think topographic map or conservation trust letterhead — not modern sans, not slab, not condensed. The name should feel like it belongs in the landscape.
─────────────────────────────
FUTURE PHASES
─────────────────────────────
Once the base logo is locked, we will develop:
— Seasonal colorway variations (spring, summer, autumn, winter)
— Weather variations (clear, cloudy, rain, snow)
— Featured animal integration (subtle silhouette in the treeline or sky, to scale, not cartoon)
The base logo should be built in a way that makes these variations easy to layer and adapt.
─────────────────────────────
DELIVERABLES
─────────────────────────────
— 2 concepts (Option A and Option B)
— Revisions included
— Final files: AI, EPS, SVG, PNG
— Full vector, 100% scalable
— White version, dark version, transparent background
─────────────────────────────
TO APPLY
─────────────────────────────
Send 2–3 portfolio examples relevant to this style. No generic logo portfolios — show us you understand the outdoor, conservation, or badge aesthetic specifically. We will respond to shortlisted candidates within 48 hours and ask for a single rough thumbnail before awarding the project.
We are not looking for the fastest or cheapest submission. We are looking for the right designer to build something with.
