Playful Cartoonish Children’s Brand Illustrations

Objective: To create vibrant and joyful illustrations for a children’s brand focused on fostering cultural inclusivity and awareness.
Project Overview
- We’re looking for an illustrator who can bring a sense of playfulness, brightness, and joy to our brand through engaging, culturally-inspired illustrations. The artwork will be used across various platforms, including activity books, merchandise, social media, and packaging. The illustrations should be visually captivating for children and resonate with a mission of celebrating diversity and inclusion.
Project Scope & Requirements
The selected illustrator will be responsible for:
1. Concept Development
- Collaborate with our team to understand the brand’s playful, inclusive identity.
- Develop initial sketches and concepts that reflect a vibrant and welcoming aesthetic suitable for young children.
2. Illustration Creation
- Create hand-drawn or digitally produced illustrations that are culturally relevant, playful, and engaging.
- Required types of illustrations include:
- Character design: diverse children and/or dolls participating in activities or cultural themes.
- Activity pages: content like mazes, coloring sections, dress designs, cultural food and language matches, and famous landmarks.
- Thematic elements: flags, maps, traditional clothing, nature scenes, and other symbolic imagery.
- Merchandise designs: artwork for apparel, book covers, packaging, and related products.
3. Revisions and Adjustments
- Incorporate feedback to ensure the artwork aligns with the brand’s visual and quality standards, with the final deliverables in high-resolution format.
Requirements
- Experience in children’s illustrations, with a focus on cultural themes and inclusivity.
- Portfolio showcasing previous work with a playful and vibrant style suitable for a young audience.
- Communication Skills to provide updates and take direction for revisions as needed.
