Mannequin heads to be painted

We are a small London based workshop which designs spectacles frames and makes them by hand. We require some highly distinctive mannequin heads and as a first step have acquired a set of ready-made plastic heads as featured. We would like these heads to be painted and have no fixed ideas as to how this should be done. We are open to any suggestions.
