Large Outdoor Cardboard & Paper Mâché Animal Sculptures

Job ID: 38707645

Budget: $250 – $750 NZD

I'm looking for a talented artist who can create large, weather-resistant animal sculptures from cardboard and paper mâché. These sculptures will be displayed outdoors for an afternoon in December 2024, so they need to be durable enough to withstand the elements.

The ideal candidate would have experience in:
- Sculpture Creation: The artist should be skilled in creating large, intricate sculptures. The animals can range from farmed creatures to pets, and even some native wildlife such as kiwi and possum.
- Outdoor Art Installation: The artist should understand the requirements for creating art that can withstand outdoor conditions.
- Weather-Resistant Art Techniques: The artist should be able to use techniques and materials that will ensure the sculptures can withstand wind, rain, and other weather conditions.

I am open to using patterns for the armature of the sculptures from overseas. However, these will need to be cut, assembled, and detail-finished by hand in Auckland, New Zealand, where the project is located and where the sculptures will be displayed.

I have attached images of some example armature patterns for your reference.
