Illustrated Novel

A mix of novel narrative and continuous illustration, something like the scene sequence story board (but with wider intervals) used in filming combined with complete narrative.. An experimental form, giving readers enlivening visuals for the story narrative. I haven't seen anything like it so the artist would have major role in bringing the combination to a successful conclusion. Not a comic book with balloon text. A new format for publishing that would overcome the wearing impression of extended 10pt type and enliven the characters and situations presented in the story plot. This is an entirely new approach so no examples are available. Illustrations for Raymond Chandler's The Long Goodbye may provide b&w examples of the kind of art style that might work. Up to the artist entirely.
