Seeking Traditional Artist / Illustrator for Gothic Tarot Deck Collaboration

I’m the owner of Never Better Label, an Australian small business focused on gothic décor, dark whimsy, alternative art, and handcrafted creations.
I’m currently looking for a talented artist or illustrator to collaborate with me on creating a unique gothic-inspired tarot deck.
This is a passion project that I hope to grow into something truly special, and I’m looking for someone who is excited to be part of the creative journey.
What I’m Looking For:
• A genuine artist or illustrator with a strong artistic background
• Traditional art, digital illustration, fine art, tattoo art, fantasy art, or similar experience
• Ability to create original artwork and maintain a cohesive style across an entire deck
• Strong communication and willingness to collaborate on concepts and storytelling
Please Note:
I am specifically seeking an artist who creates their own original artwork.
I am not looking for AI-generated artwork or artists who rely heavily on AI image generation within their workflow.
The vision for this deck is built around handcrafted creativity, artistic expression, and original illustration. I would love to work with someone who is passionate about creating meaningful art from scratch.
Project Scope:
• Major Arcana tarot deck initially, with potential expansion to a full deck
• Commercial usage rights required
• Long-term collaboration preferred
• Opportunity to help shape the artistic direction of the project

The overall aesthetic should feel beautifully illustrated, atmospheric, slightly eerie, and rich in storytelling rather than horror-focused.
