Fun Whimsical Illustrations Needed + A Little Design Work
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My kids are always sending drawings to friends and family in the mail. As I was doing my weekly mailings, I thought to myself “I should make a gift kit”…so now I am. This would be something you buy for kids as a craft or give as a gift (grandma gives to kid, kids sends postcards to grandma). Kids draw on the front of the postcard, then you pop it in the mail and send it to the intended recipient.
Name: The Postcartist (Postcard + Artist = Postcartist)
Concept:
• DIY postcards – front is essentially blank (to be drawn by kiddos) and back has standard postcard layout (message area, stamp, address).
• Pack of 10 postcards, placed in a clear bag, with a cover card or sticker that says what the product is, how to use it, and a bit about why I did it.
Deliverables:
1. Logo – Simple, nothing to spend too much time on.
2. Illustration Pattern (to be used as background on a sticker, cover card, insta account, etc.) // Fun whimsical pattern that captures what this product is – elements to include postcards, mailboxes, mail truck, crayons, and any other fun doodles that are applicable.
3. Postcard (rounded corners??):
• Front with 3 simple designs
1. Blank with a simple frame
2. Blank with a simple frame + “Hello!”
3. Blank with a simple frame + “Have a nice day!”
• Back with one design – adding a few of the doodles from the pattern around to make it more fun and connect it to the background.
