Freelance Character Sketch Artist for Arcade/Apparel Company Mascot

We are looking for a skilled character sketch artist to create initial ideation sketches and concepts for a new mascot for our arcade and apparel company. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating characters with a similar style and attitude to Sakura from Street Fighter, and an anime inspired art style similar to that of Omega Strikers. Attached is an example by the character designer of Omega Strikers demonstrating an idea of the style we are looking for. The final product does not have to be complex and we are open to different styles and ideas.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our team to come up with initial sketches, drafts and ideas for a unique and memorable mascot.
Create character sketches that capture the spirit and style of our brand, with a focus on a stylish tomboy character.
Provide revisions and refine the sketches based on feedback from the team.


Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in character sketching, with a portfolio that showcases your skills and style.
Expertise in sketching and ideation, with an understanding of character design principles.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and ability to create dynamic poses.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
