I'm looking for a creative designer to create illustrations and design elements for an adult-targeted book. The project involves:
- An illustrated cover.
- An illustrated back cover.
- Approximately 10 minimalist designs for the interior.
The design style should be:
- Sophisticated and elegant, mirroring the overall theme of the book.
- With a touch of minimalism for the interior designs.
Ideal candidates should have:
- A strong portfolio of illustrated book covers and interior designs.
- Experience designing for an adult audience.
- A clear understanding of sophisticated and elegant design aesthetics.

BOOK DESIGN (COVER, BACK COVER AND INTERIOR)
1) Objective
Create cover, back cover and illustrations for the interior of the brazilian book “Que tudo fique igual para sempre". (It means "may everything stay the same forever”)
2) Copy
Benefits: An emotive narrative about the relationship between a son and his father and the pain of loss.
Reason-why 1: This is a non-fiction book, written in the first person, narrating the son’s perspective on his relationship with his father and the grief following his passing.
Reason-why 2: The narration is non-linear, shifting between past and present moments they shared, the father’s illness leading up to his passing, and the months that followed.
Tone: Emotional and intriguing (aimed at capturing the reader’s attention).
Target Audience: Both genders, 30+ years old.
3) POSSIBLE ELEMENTS TO CONSIDER
- The story is told in a non-linear format, meaning the chapters shift back and forth in time. Only upon completing the book will the reader be able to fully grasp the entire narrative—from moments shared between father and son, to the illness, hospitalization, and death, and finally, the months following the loss.
- On the other hand, the non-linear structure allows each chapter to have its own independence, meaning it can still be understood even when read in isolation.
- The book's title, "May Everything Stay the Same Forever", is a phrase taken from one of the letters left behind by the father after his passing. Sensing that his death was near, he wrote a letter to his wife, and in one of his reflections, he states: "Life is dynamic. Asking for everything to stay the same forever... is simply impossible." (translated to ENG. Original is in BR Portuguese)
