Diver and mermaid
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for a professional to help me make an illustration to print on a banner to propose my girlfriend.
I would be printing the banner in a local print shop, so i only need the digital file.
The concept:
We both are scuba divers who are more than passionate about the ocean and all around it. We met in a diving trip and that has been our main bond for the last 8 years of relationship.
The illustration that im looking for is a scene of an old school diver (old days equipment with the brass helmet and lead boots, etc.) with a girl in bikini that could also be a mermaid.
There is a very famous photograph from 1940s i beleive which is very close to what im looking for, however this photo is almost a cliche.
I wouldnt mind making something different as long as the characters are the same and the illustration is powerful and romantic at the same time.
They can be kissing each other or together underwater and it would be nice to have marine life around or a coral reef as scenery (or not).
Im attaching a few photos found online of the old school diver, the original famous photo with the diver and the girl, and also a photo of my girlfriend.
If everything goes fine, this illustration will be printed/painted on our home wall and it might become a tatoo as well.
