Children's Dino Activity Book Illustrator and Graphic Designer Needed
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I'm looking for a talented illustrator and graphic designer to help me create a children's activity book that focuses on dinosaurs.
Key Elements:
- Illustration Style: The ideal candidate will be able to produce engaging and fun cartoon-style illustrations.
- Activity Complexity: The activity pages will have both coloring sheets and more interactive puzzles.
- Target Audience: The book is primarily aimed at children aged 6-10 years old.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in creating children's book illustrations, particularly in a cartoon style.
- Strong skills in graphic design, particularly in the context of children's activity books.
- Understanding of child development and interests in the 6-10 age group.

40 Pages. Some require illustration, some require reconstruction of my ideas into the Graphic Design program. An example of an illustration need would be a “Find 5 things different about these two pictures” type of activity. An example of a reconstruction is that I provide you with a crossword puzzle (in a PDF form) and it needs to be reconstructed to the Graphic Design program. This is an activity book about dinosaurs - mostly sauropods (the long necked ones). Most of the ideas are there, you will create some using your creativity, and we can work together on some.
The pages will be 8.5” wide by 11” tall (21.59 cm x 27.94 cm)
Full text or idea will be provided to you for each page, along with some sample or example ideas – You will produce a simple line-art sketch for each illustration, upload to freelancer for approval -I'll give approval for the line-art, then you produce it to full illustration.
Payment: (Through Freelancer) - Initial downpayment (1/3) -Milestone payment (1/3) when half of the illustrations are completed -Final payment (1/3) when all illustrations are completed
Timeline: 40 pages no more than 4 weeks from award of project. Many are very simple, some more complex.
Branding: This activity book will be for a major U.S. based museum. I will provide logo artwork and any brand guidance. The book should have consistent feel through all the pages – i.e. a cohesive activity book.

Approximately 17 of the pages have illustrations as the main attraction. The others have activities that may require some small illustrations (example would be the word search might have a small dinosaur footprint on the page) but mostly is graphic design. You’ll get a document explaining explaining the entire activity book, and a document for each individual page with directions and examples. I’ll be very open to hearing your suggestions for making it better. I promise good communication from my side. I’m looking forward to working with you.
