Anime/Manga Artist Needed for TTRPG Web Comic
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I'm seeking a skilled artist with an Anime/Manga style to illustrate a web comic based on my TTRPG group's adventures. The comic will need moderate detail in the backgrounds and will primarily use existing references for character design.
The game is set in a fantasy world called The Klenmore. It is set in a 1920s style era with magic being new and mysterious. Prohibition is around magic, not alcohol. The main character, Nonna, is a mafia godmother who is trying to protect her criminal empire from unknown enemies. The rest of the party is made up of people who owe Nonna or are loyal friends of Nonna and have joined her cause.
There are 6 primary characters: Nonna, Alphonse, Calliope, Evangelina, Fink, and Raine
There are 2 secondary characters who pop in and out of the story but are not always active: Benny, Muvah
Villains and NPCs pop in and out as needed and are not present in every episode.
Key Responsibilities:
- Illustrate a web comic based on provided TTRPG narratives.
- Create engaging, Anime/Manga style visuals.
- Design characters using provided references.
- Incorporate moderate background detail.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Anime/Manga art style.
- Prior experience in comic or web comic illustration.
- Ability to interpret and visualize TTRPG narratives.
- Strong understanding of character design and background detail.
The project will encompass between 150-200 sessions, with each session being the equivalent of a "chapter." Therefore, the project will encompass between ~75-100 chapters in total. The web comic should be in a digital format with a resolution of 300 DPI. The tone of the web comic should be a mix of intensity and humor. Each chapter should be delivered weekly. Illustrations should be in full color, including character designs and backgrounds. The target audience for this web comic is adults. I would prefer feedback after completing significant milestones. The preferred level of collaboration is "moderate collaboration on pacing and obviously art." Each chapter should be around 10-15 pages long. Please use the following color palette for the illustrations: bright and vibrant colors against a dark and moody background.
