Alcoholic father vs Sober Father visual depiction
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am looking for two hand sketched pieces of art.
Both Very specific . All led pencil, no color , but lots of shading , very real feeling.
The first piece is a tall semi size rough lumber built shop with large open doors coming in on the right hand side of the paper, a circle of men standing inside drinking beer. (Most of the shop will not be visible as it will come in on the edge of the page. It’s evening. But there is a light on in the shop to make it a bit brighter and dram the eye as the center of attention. A little girl tugging at her dad asking if he can drive her to her moms. He says he has no gas or money . There will be bubbles with words coming from their mouth like a comic strip. A truck outside with no gas or money for gas but a case of beer set directly above the gas tank of the truck. Coors light . It’s an overall dark sad undertone. Dad is drunk. A light haired little boy in the distance to the left of the page as the picture gets darker. He is , near an rv, sitting aimlessly on a still bike saying dad is drunk again. The earth is dirt and trees here and there. Land for miles, but old trucks and scrap in the distance . I can send real life photos if needed but I would have to return to the places to take them.
The second sketch is also a real place. A home wooden home with a roof that peeks on the left with stone chimney in the back center and then a lower long roof to the right. The home comes in on the left hand side of the page. The house is backed by woods but not too thick as a creek runs through . I would like to send photos of this home. A basketball hoop on front on the home with the back of a dark haired 9 yo boy playing b ball . A garden to the right of the house full of vegetables and a little light haired little girl gathering vegetables in her dress Singing happy tunes. Another girl is seen through the window of the home , she is taller and slender 11 , dark haired, happily reading a book . Her mom in the background cooking in the kitchen . A dad and son working on a truck near the center bottom /front of the sketch (the main attention grabber) to the left of the driveway halfway inside an old small shop places lengthwise from left to right. To the right of the page a thick mountain coming down into open land with patchy grass and wildflowers of about 1/4 the page coming up to the garden . There is beautiful sun shining on the entire place from above the thick tall mountains. It is happy bright vibes. The dad in both sketches is a well built logger with a beard . Strong old school lumber Jack look. The friends in the first sketch are rough, scrappy, small low lives of various heights .
One friend in the first sketch has a bubble of thoughts that reads “he’s such a piece of shit” it is the fathers friend looking at him thinking bad things with a beer raising to his lips and he plays the part of a friend.
These sketches are to represent a past of alcohol abuse and the affect on the children vs the new bright future that came with the sobriety. They need to have a lot of feeling in them .
