Design 9 x badge icons for a mobile app
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
We are a small Australian home battery manufacturer - we make batteries to store solar power and allow customers to use that solar power later in the day / do other things with it. We're currently in the process of developing a mobile app for our customers to interact with their systems and see the impacts (financial and environmental) that their systems are having. As part of this app, we're introducing an element of gamification and badges, aiming to get users to positively change their behaviour and ultimately improve the impact their systems are having.
We are looking for badges that can be displayed on a mobile screen. I've attached badges from a previous app I made using a previous employer), and we're looking for a similar aesthetic - hexagon badge shape outline with a reasonably abstract / silly picture in the middle of it. We have a company style guide, but it doesn't have anything on app designs, so you'll have some freedom so long as they're family-friendly! Our company colours are generally black or dark grey (background), with a red logo and red / white lettering. Happy to work with you on final colours! We are looking for editable icons that we can potentially adapt / recolour as our app evolves.
We have identified nine (9) badges that we'd like to begin for our app - these are listed below. I'll include the badge name at the beginning and a bit of a description after each, as it may help you think of how to depict it. In short, these are all elements associated with someone having solar panels and a battery in their house. Our system also allows people to sell / trade their electricity, mine cryptocurrency using excess solar, and other things. But it's all associated with doing stuff with electricity. Our products are named after animals or other Australian things, so I've tried to maintain that with some of these names. Initial badges are:
1. Energy Expert - The customer has only used their own solar and battery power to run their house for the day
2. Energy Evangelist - The customer has exported more than they usually do that day
3. Export Expert - the customer is in the top 25% of network customers in exporting their electricity to others
4. Selfless Swan - the customer is the TOP exporter of electricity in the network that day
5. Solar Superstar - Highest solar production of any customer on the network that day
6. Wall Street Walkabout - Earned $1 in energy trading that day
7. Wallaby of Wall Street - Earned $5 in energy trading that day (if you can do a wallaby with a top hat / monocle, you're a legend)
8. Mining Magnate - you were in the top quartile of crypto mining in the network that day
9. Battery Bandit - the customer ran on battery power alone for over 10 hours that day
