URGENT: Oracle Database Expert Needed to Connect Multiple Remote Databases
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
Are you an Oracle expert with experience in connecting databases across different platforms? We have an exciting opportunity for you! We are looking for a skilled freelancer to connect an existing Oracle source database to three different remote databases, including DB2 installed on an IBM AS400 server, MySQL, and MS-SQL Server.
The Oracle source database has been installed using Oracle 18c Express Edition - 64bit Docker container on Linux, and the network settings and routings are already in place to allow for seamless connectivity between the source and destination databases.
As the successful candidate, you will use your expertise to connect the remote databases to the Oracle database in the Docker container using ODBC or CLI, and create a database link within Oracle. This will enable easy placement of SQL queries to the remote database content, such as "select * from xy.table@DB_LINK".
Because of the Docker installation, it is essential that you are able to document each step you take to make this work, including installing additional packages, changing environment variables, adapting configuration files like tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora, initXXX.ora, odbc.ini, and more. You will qualify best if you can also create docker or shell scripts yourself.
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and work with a dynamic team. If you have a proven track record in heterogeneous database environments and are up for the challenge, we want to hear from you. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity and apply now!
