2-Ton Heat Pump System Replacement

Job ID: 40379207

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I’m ready to swap out my ageing central air equipment for a new, high-efficiency 2-ton heat-pump system. The job calls for removing the current air handler, line set and outdoor compressor, hauling them away, and then installing the complete new matched set in their place.

The indoor unit sits in a semi-tight spot—reachable without tearing down walls, but it does take a bit of maneuvering—so plan on bringing the right tools for confined-space work (compact vacuum pump, brazing gear, nitrogen purge, digital gauges, etc.). I’ll rely on you for safe recovery of the old refrigerant and proper disposal of everything you pull out.

Outside, there’s already a solid platform in good condition, so no new pad fabrication is necessary; just anchor, level and reconnect the new condenser. Once both sections are in, I’ll need clean, pressure-tested, evacuated lines, factory-spec charge, and a startup that documents superheat/subcool numbers to confirm performance.

When we’re finished I expect:

• Old system removed from the property
• New air handler, line set and condenser installed, wired, charged and running smoothly
• Thermostat checked and calibrated
• Final walkthrough explaining maintenance and warranty paperwork

If this scope matches your expertise and you can slot the work in soon, let’s schedule a quick call to nail down dates and any brand or permit specifics you recommend.
