Residential HVAC Ductwork Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a new residential home and need a complete HVAC duct layout from scratch. The design must cover the entire house, supplying and returning air to every room while meeting current residential comfort and efficiency standards.
Here’s what I’m looking for:
• Full duct schematic showing supply and return runs, trunk sizes, branch sizes, and register locations
• Airflow calculations (Manual J/Manual D or equivalent) to confirm sizing and balance
• Equipment matchup recommendations so the ductwork pairs correctly with the selected furnace/air-handler and condenser
• Static-pressure and velocity checks to avoid noise and performance issues
• Final drawings delivered in both PDF and an editable CAD format (AutoCAD or Revit preferred)
I’ll share floor plans and any architectural constraints once the project starts. Please factor in practical routing, minimal ceiling drops, and straightforward installation for my contractor.
If you have residential duct-design experience, familiarity with ACCA guidelines, and can turn around clear, build-ready plans, I’d love to see samples of your previous work and hear your proposed timeline.
