Renovation MEP Engineering with design capabilities
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
New construction for multiple projects need a seasoned MEP engineer who can handle the full spectrum of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing work, including fire protection and HVAC redesign. The building already has services in place, so the task will centre on surveying what exists, identifying shortcomings, and producing coordinated drawings and calculations that bring every system up to code without disrupting the current structure more than necessary.
Scope
• Mechanical & HVAC: Re-evaluate air‐handling units, duct routes, and load calculations to improve efficiency and indoor comfort.
• Electrical: Update single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and lighting layouts while confirming capacity for the new HVAC loads.
• Plumbing & Fire Protection: Optimise water supply, drainage, and sprinkler lines, ensuring coverage meets current safety standards.
Deliverables I expect
• As-built verification notes and redlines from your field survey
• Updated MEP drawings (Revit or AutoCAD) ready for permit submission
• Supporting load/pressure/flow calculations and equipment schedules
• A brief compliance report referencing the latest local codes and NFPA where relevant
I’ll share existing plans and site photos once we start. If you’ve successfully modernised buildings of similar size and can work collaboratively with my architect during the design-build phase, I’d like to hear how soon you can begin and how long the design package will take.
