Job Description – Building Automation / BMS Programmer (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Building Management System (BMS) / Building Automation Programmer with strong expertise in Schneider or Siemens controllers, as well as hands-on experience in HVAC control and energy monitoring.

This is a remote freelance position involving direct connection to our controllers, writing control logic, configuring communication protocols, and developing a full HMI interface for real-time monitoring and control.

Responsibilities

Connect remotely to Schneider or Siemens building controllers and perform configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.

Develop complete control logic inside the controller, including operational sequences, alarms, and optimization routines.

Build a full HMI/SCADA interface for monitoring, control, and data visualization of connected HVAC and energy systems.

Integrate field devices we connect to the controller (HVAC units, meters, pumps, sensors, chillers, etc.), organize data, and create clear dashboards.

Implement communication with Modbus and M-Bus, including reading/writing registers and validating data integrity.

Develop a logic-driven energy savings report inside the controller based on electrical consumption vs. thermal output (kW vs. TR).

Provide documentation, clean code structure, and ongoing support as needed.

Required Skills

Proven experience with Schneider BMS (EcoStruxure) or Siemens BMS (Desigo / S7 / PXC).

Strong understanding of building automation, HVAC control, and field device integration.

Ability to write structured control logic inside the PLC/BMS controller.

Experience creating HMI/SCADA interfaces (graphics, navigation, trends, alarms).

Deep knowledge of Modbus TCP/RTU and M-Bus communications.

Ability to read system diagrams and integrate multi-vendor equipment.

Good English communication skills and availability for remote work.

Preferred / Advantage

Experience with energy monitoring: electrical parameters vs. thermal load (TR), COP calculations, efficiency tracking.

Familiarity with chillers, heat pumps, AHUs, VRF, and mechanical systems.

Experience preparing automated calculations and generating reports inside the controller or HMI.
