PCM Cooling System Design by Expert HVAC Engineer
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
Expert HVAC / Thermal Engineer Needed for PCM-Based Cooling System Design (One-Time Project)
Project Overview
We are seeking an expert-level HVAC / thermal engineer to design and engineer a complete, end-to-end cooling system incorporating Phase Change Material (PCM)-based thermal storage.
This is a one-time engineering design engagement requiring deep, hands-on experience in thermal system design, HVAC components, and advanced cooling architectures. The selected engineer will be responsible for delivering engineering-ready designs, calculations, and component selections suitable for real-world implementation.
Experience with Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs) is a strong advantage.
Scope of Work
The engineer will be responsible for the full thermal and mechanical design, including but not limited to:
Design of heat exchangers (coils, plates, tubes)
Design of evaporators
Fan sizing and RPM calculations
Copper piping design and sizing
Selection and composition of Phase Change Material (PCM)
Compressor selection
Refrigerant selection
Expansion valve selection
Selection and integration of controllers and sensors
System-level thermal performance calculations and validation
Definition of design assumptions and operating conditions
Required Expertise (Expert-Level Only)
Please do not apply if you lack direct, real-world experience in the areas below:
Proven expertise in HVAC and thermal system design
Demonstrated hands-on experience with PCM-based thermal storage or cooling systems
Practical experience with:
AC compressors
Heat exchangers
Evaporators
Ability to perform accurate thermal and mechanical calculations
Experience selecting and integrating controllers and sensors
Ability to deliver engineering-grade documentation
Experience with Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs) is a strong plus
Deliverables
The final delivery must include:
Complete system design documentation
Detailed engineering calculations and clearly stated assumptions
Component selection rationale (PCM, compressors, refrigerants, valves, fans, sensors, etc.)
Relevant schematics, diagrams, or layouts (as applicable)
All deliverables must be technically sound, clearly documented, and suitable for downstream engineering or manufacturing.
Project Details
Engagement Type: One-time project
Experience Level Required: Expert only
Budget: Fixed price
Timeline: ASAP
NDA: Mandatory
Proposal Instructions (Required)
To be considered, your proposal must address all of the following:
Briefly describe similar HVAC or PCM-based cooling projects you have completed
Highlight your direct experience with heat exchanger and evaporator design
Confirm your availability to start immediately
Explicitly acknowledge your willingness to sign an NDA
Proposals that do not address all four points will not be considered.
Important Note
This project requires deep technical expertise and real-world engineering experience. We are looking for a senior engineer who can independently design, calculate, and justify a complete cooling system — not a conceptual or academic exercise.
