Mosque HVAC Load & Duct Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
The project covers a complete cooling-load assessment and matching ductwork layout for a newly designed 1 500 m² mosque in Saudi Arabia. Its primary space is the prayer hall, and the target condition is a standard comfortable temperature throughout daily services and Friday peaks.
Key considerations you will need to fold into the calculations include the mosque’s large dome, its notably high ceilings, and extensive glass façades. Local climate data for the region, prevailing codes (SBC & ASHRAE), typical occupancy diversity during prayers, and daily solar gain patterns all matter to the accuracy of the load estimate.
Once the sensible and latent loads are established, translate them into a fully sized supply-air system with complete duct routing, fitting losses, and velocity/pressure drop checks. The final layout should be deliverable in CAD (DWG) or Revit, accompanied by clear load spreadsheets or HAP/TRANE TRACE printouts that trace every assumption.

• Psychrometric and ventilation calculations
• Schematic and detailed duct sizing drawings, tagged and ready for coordination
• Equipment schedule suggestions (AHUs, diffusers, grilles) aligned to calculated airflow
• Brief narrative explaining methodology, standards applied, and any optimisation recommendations
