Integration Between Loxone, JCI BMS, KNX, and Q-SYS Audio Systems

We are seeking a highly experienced Building Automation Engineer to handle the full integration, configuration, and commissioning between multiple systems in a smart building environment.

The project involves connecting and synchronizing the following systems into one unified automation and monitoring layer:

Systems Involved:

Loxone System – to act as both the automation and virtualization layer.

JCI BMS (Johnson Controls) – to provide HVAC and building management control via BACnet/IP.

KNX System – handling lighting, sensors, and room control devices.

Q-SYS Audio System – to be integrated for audio automation and scene control.

Scope of Work:

Configure Loxone Miniserver to communicate with the JCI BMS via BACnet/IP.

Integrate KNX devices through Loxone KNX Extension and perform group address mapping using ETS.

Establish bidirectional data exchange between Loxone and Q-SYS (audio triggers, scene recalls, and volume control).

Create a complete mapping plan for all control points (inputs/outputs, sensors, relays, and virtual objects).

Develop a virtual dashboard or visualization within Loxone for monitoring lighting, HVAC, and audio control.

Document all configurations, communication parameters, and integration logic.

Conduct system testing and optimization to ensure seamless operation.

Deliverables:

Full integration configuration files (Loxone Config, ETS Project, BACnet Object Mapping).

Group address list and BACnet point mapping sheet.

System topology diagram showing all communication flows.

Testing and validation report confirming successful integration.

Requirements & Skills:

Proven experience with Loxone Miniserver integration (KNX, BACnet, Modbus, or similar).

Strong understanding of BMS systems (preferably Johnson Controls Metasys).

Deep knowledge of KNX topology, ETS configuration, and group addressing.

Experience integrating audio automation systems (preferably Q-SYS).

Ability to design network architecture and define all required hardware interfaces.

Good documentation and communication skills in English.
