HVAC Equipment Quantity Takeoff
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
I have a set of mechanical drawings for a project that covers the heating and ventilation portions of the HVAC scope, and I need a clean, defensible equipment take-off. Your task is to open the PDFs/DWGs I provide, locate every piece of relevant plant, and give me an itemised count—no duct measurements, no material specs, just equipment numbers.
Focus only on:
• Heat pumps
• Air handlers
• VAVs
• Supply/return outlets
• Pumps and CBVs
Please place each item on its own row in an Excel sheet, tagging the plan sheet and any schedule identifier exactly as it appears on the drawing so I can trace every count back to a specific location. Accuracy should be within ±2 %, and I’d like a brief notes column describing any assumptions (e.g., hidden units, partial plans).
You can use whichever take-off tool you prefer as long as the final deliverable is the structured spreadsheet. Send the file along with a bookmarked PDF markup set if you create one—that makes verification faster.
Let me know your expected turnaround time and the software you’ll be using, and I’ll share the drawings right away.
