FBC Manual D/J/S Audit
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a qualified HVAC designer to verify and document Manual J load calculations, Manual D duct layouts, and Manual S equipment selection for a single-family residence so I can demonstrate full compliance with the Florida Building Code – Residential submission ready. You will be working from accurate exterior elevations and an interior floor plan that already includes all room dimensions, window and door schedules, insulation specs, and orientation.
Scope
• Re-check the heat-gain / heat-loss numbers with Manual J.
• Size and lay out the complete duct system per Manual D, showing trunk and branch sizing, CFM requirements, and friction rates.
• Recommend properly matched equipment in line with Manual S and current FBC efficiency requirements.
• Flag any conflicts with the code and suggest corrective options.
Deliverables (PDF + native files)
1. Sealed or digitally signed Manual J report.
2. Duct design drawings with legend, balancing data, and static pressure calculations.
3. Manual S worksheet with model numbers and performance data at design conditions.
4. Summary letter certifying that the design meets FBC-R and ready for building-permit submission.
