Convert HVAC AutoCAD to SolidWorks

Job ID: 40238078

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

I need ongoing help turning my existing HVAC AutoCAD drawings into fully-featured SolidWorks models. The work centres on Capture Jet hoods, canopies, AHUs, extract ceiling tiles and similar items, and the real focus is getting every HVAC component modelled with the right level of detail so the assemblies are ready for manufacture and easy to re-use.

You will be receiving a batch of DWG files each day, along with reference photos or PDFs. From these you will create native SolidWorks parts and assemblies that respect our company-specific modelling standards (naming, configurations, custom properties, revision tables, colour codes, etc.). I will supply the standards document and a few finished models so you can mirror the workflow and file structure from day one.

Accuracy of dimensions obviously matters, but the priority is true-to-life detail on dampers, coils, filters, access panels, brackets and all the sheet-metal elements that make up the units. Everything must remain fully parametric so later edits are straightforward.

Contract terms
• Daily engagement, Monday to Friday, with a target number of completed models agreed at the start of each week.
• Sample drawings will be shared before we begin so you can confirm workload and timeline.
• I review each upload within 24 hours and send back any mark-ups; corrected files are due the following day.

Deliverables
1. Native SolidWorks part and assembly files (.sldprt, .sldasm) organised in the supplied folder structure.
2. Associated drawings in .slddrw and PDF format matching our title-block template.
3. A brief change log listing any modelling assumptions or issues encountered.

If you have solid HVAC experience and are comfortable adhering to strict in-house standards, I’m ready to get started right away.
