Build a heat pump sizing, energy savings, cost savings calculator
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Seeking an HVAC technician/engineer to create a calculator for Air-Source Heat Pump sizing and energy cost savings (vs current heating and cooling methods). Ideally you can also build in a system to recommend actual systems that are available on the market, including new low temperature, high efficiency/high SEER options.
Take as inputs: house location (zip code in USA), current heating and cooling equipment (you will need to define what specific inputs you need here.. i'm guessing you will want to know if current heating/cooling is oil/natural gas/electric etc), sq ft (size of house). You will also need a way to easily pull in retail cost of oil/natural gas/electricity for customers in each zip code in order to properly calculate energy cost savings.
I am looking for someone experienced who knows what they are doing. My intent is to create the most accurate air-source Heat Pump sizing calculator (can be mini split, or ducted), and to be able to accurately calculate actual energy (and cost) savings across every geography in USA/Canada. I believe Manual J will be required.
Eventually this calculator will go into a website I am building (dynamic webflow) so if you have this experience also, let me know.
I am open to multiple forms of calculator, but ideally it is in. a form that is useful to integrate into a website via Webflow.
