Library Management System

1. Project Overview

We require a modern, responsive, and secure Library Management System built using PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (AJAX). The system will manage book inventories, track issued/borrowed books, manage user roles, and compute late return fines seamlessly through a dynamic, modern dashboard interface.
2. Core Functional Requirements
A. User Authentication & Roles

1. Admin Dashboard: Full CRUD access (Create, Read, Update, Delete) for books, member management, loan logs, and fine settings.

2. Member/Student Portal: Ability to browse catalog, view borrowed books, check due dates, and request renewals.

B. Book Inventory & Catalog Management

1. Add, edit, delete, and archive book records (Title, Author, ISBN, Category, Quantity, Shelf Location).

2. Real-time search and filter functionality (by Author, Title, Category, or ISBN) powered by JavaScript/AJAX without full page reloads.

C. Circulation System (Issue & Return)

1. Issue books to members with automated due-date assignment.

2. Process returns and dynamically calculate late fines based on overdue days.

3. Live status badges (Available, Borrowed, Overdue).
