Create a very basic browser-based, click-based game
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
I am looking to create a game very similar aesthetically to the old Avengers Alliance Facebook game: https://avengersalliance.fandom.com/wiki/Marvel:_Avengers_Alliance_Wiki - but without most of the features, etc.! Essentially, the most basic elements of that game - although I may rehire you to expand it further, down the road.
Essentially, the game would involve selecting three 'characters' to battle on a set backdrop image (provided by me). Characters are not animated, but small effects may be shown in response to attacks. Each turn, the player clicks on one ability of the character whose turn it is, and selects a target from the enemy characters. Alternatively, the player can select an item. Each ability requires stamina - player can also 'rest' to restore stamina.
After two 'waves' of enemies, a final 'boss' wave appears, and a dialogue exchange appears on screen. At the conclusion of this final wave, characters are awarded experience points (a fixed amount - these numbers will be provided to you) and points (which vary based on remaining character health).
The game will require five such levels and should be replayable (e.g. after completing the final wave of level 5, the player can play again infinitely to continue building characters). There will need to be some way to store player progress (e.g. via Google or Facebook - the stored progress does not need to be encrypted, but player progress should be retrievable).
The numbers relevant for abilities, items and experience will be provided to you - reference images will be provided for the four characters needed and sprite images will be provided for the 'enemies'. Your role is to provide the mechanics of the game - make things happen when the player appropriately clicks.
