Course Instructors
Budget: $50 – $0 AUD
We have many exciting opportunities for a Course Instructors who want to help us shape the future of the industry. As a Course Instructor or Mentor, you will provide consistent academic, administrative and motivational support for learners throughout this course. You will lead and support the delivery of comprehensive online bootcamp programs which will give learners an introduction to programming and data courses. Students will participate in project-based learning under your supervision.
These roles would be suited to someone who is open to working flexible hours and would need to be available between 10-15 hrs per week (outside business hours). Open to all locations in Australia - you will need to have PR or Citizenship.

What you’ll do:
You will assist learners with understanding theoretical concepts, provide real-life examples & stories from extensive experience in industry, host Live Sessions to activate content, host private Mentor appointments to provide individual support and direction, and to enable learners to participate in and complete team based client projects.
Deliver engaging online synchronous modules to a diverse group of learners and guiding them in their asynchronous (independent learning) modules
Adapt your communication style to reflect and connect with the diverse experiences of participants.
Work with and lead the Assistant Instructors to deliver a high quality and personalised learning experience for all participants
Bring the learning experience to life, building community and enhance relevance by drawing on your own industry experience
Provide relevant and timely feedback to students on formative and summative assessment and on client projects;
Increase participant engagement using different facilitation tactics
Utilise Online classroom management techniques and troubleshooting where necessary with relevant stakeholders at Generation and Academy Xi.
Coach and guide students to be as employable as possible and support them to develop industry standard portfolios.
Commit to and empathise with young/mid-career people and disconnected populations
Provide differentiated and one-on-one support to motivate and support participants to persevere through challenges
Who you are:
Passionate about technology and training, you’ll have a high level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to ensure your student’s success.
You ideally have 2-3 years industry experience working across Software Engineering, Full Stack Development, Web Development and Data Analytics.
Experience as a trainer (preferably online) will help position you strongly for these opportunities
You should feel comfortable communicating to both large and small groups of learners and have a desire to coach and guide learners in an empathetic, patient manner
You are across broad industry and technological trends and able to share your own personal insights with students
You love to inspire diverse groups of learners and genuinely want to help your group of learners acquire technical skills, behavioural skills, mindsets and employment coaching that will make them valuable employees in the tech sector.
