WordPress Restore & Widget Fix
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I moved my server from PHP 7 to PHP 8.x and immediately ran into a fatal error caused by one of my WordPress widgets, taking the entire site offline. I have a complete backup from just before the upgrade and can hand it over straight away.
Here is what I need:
• Restore the site so it’s publicly accessible again, using the backup if necessary.
• Update, patch, or replace the faulty widget so it runs cleanly on PHP 8.x without throwing errors or deprecation warnings.
• Keep the site on PHP 8.x once everything is stable, unless a temporary rollback is essential for troubleshooting.
• Provide a short summary of the fixes you applied so I understand what changed.
If you have solid WordPress/PHP 8 experience and can tackle this quickly, please tell me how soon you can start and roughly how long the full restore and widget repair will take.
