Website app for organizing group meetings.

Job ID: 36120414

Budget: £10 – £100 GBP

Hello freelancers.

The total budget for the project is £100 (one hundred British pounds) and the project should be completed before the end of March.
The idea is to develop a website app to organize group meetings based on each member's availability building on the base functionalities of the website "https://www.when2meet.com/".
We prefer functionality over graphic design. The main focus is for the website to function well rather than look nice but be bugged.
Core functionalities:
1. Like when2meet, users arrive in the homepage where there will be a “New Event Button”.
2. The button will open a new window where the first user will be able to set the basic information of the new event: Name of the event, Time frame of availability (eg: from Monday to Friday, 9 AM, 7PM), and duration of the event (eg: 30 minutes, 2 hours…).
3. After the event is created, like in “when2meet: there will be a new window for the new event.
4. Like in in “when2meet”, everyone with the URL can access the event.
5. To participate in the event and insert their availability, users will have to insert their name, (email address optional) and a simple 4 digits password.
6. Users will insert their availability by dragging onto the calendar (like in when2meet).
7. After all users have insert their availability, the system should highlight the time slots with the highest participation.
8. After that, users will be able to vote which of the highlighted time slots works best for them.
9. Once a single time slot is chosen, users will be able to download a “ .ics ” (iCalendar) file containing the details of the event and the chosen timeslot. (users will download the file and upload it to their personal calendar). As a reference, “ https://ical.marudot.com/ “ is a website to generate .ics files, the outcome should be the same.
10. If users decided to include their email, they will receive updates on the state of the pool and will receive reminder emails related to the event once a time slots has been chosen.
11. Events pages and data will be deleted 1 moth after the event has passed.

Security requirements:
- Basic security standards like HTTPS encryption, input validation, and error handling.
- Basic protection against SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

Technical Requirements suggestions:
- Front end - React.js
- Back End - using Firebase might make it easier to complete, and allow easy email authentication etc.

We’ll be available for further guidance and support all throughout the development of the website app.

Thank you for taking the time to read this proposal.
