Shopify Dawn 15.3 Developer Needed for Customization
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m looking for an experienced Shopify developer to join me in tackling a critical theme conversion and update project with a firm deadline of March 31st. I need someone who can dive in immediately and work efficiently to meet this timeline. As a developer myself, I’ll be collaborating with you, offering guidance, real-time feedback, and a steady flow of tasks to keep the project on track.
Project Details:
The client’s Shopify store runs on a heavily customized Dawn 15.0 theme that can’t be automatically updated to Dawn 15.3 due to extensive modifications. I’ve set up a fresh Dawn 15.3 theme, and your role will be to help transfer and refine the customizations. Expect some challenges, including:
- Outdated code from previous developers that Shopify no longer supports.
- Redundant customizations now replaced by native Dawn 15.3 features.
- Quick-fix practices that need to be cleaned up for better performance.
Your first task is simple but critical: style the navigation on the new Dawn 15.3 theme to match the live Dawn 15.0 version. This should take no more than 1 hour for a proficient developer and will act as a benchmark for your speed and quality.
Skills Required:
Must-have:
Strong experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Familiarity with the Dawn theme (preferably with recent versions 15+).
Nice-to-have:
Custom Shopify app development.
Database management experience.
Work Structure:
Start with a 1-hour task to style the navigation.
I’ll assess your work based on speed, quality, and adherence to best practices.
If you nail it, you’ll move straight into additional tasks, assigned in real-time as we collaborate.
This is a fast-paced project, and I’ll be available to review your progress and provide the next steps immediately.
Compensation:
Initial Task: $12–$27/hr (fixed rate, based on experience) for the 1-hour navigation styling.
Ongoing Work: Additional tasks will be paid per task or hourly, negotiated based on your performance and the project’s scope.
Payments will be processed quickly after each task is completed.
Availability:
Immediate start is non-negotiable.
Weekend availability may be required to hit the March 31st deadline.
My preferred working hours: 9 AM – 9 PM EST. Flexibility is a plus!
